Milwaukee's Original Diner

Pitch's Restaurants Presents...
Miss Katie's Diner

We are located 2 blocks west of the Marquette campus just west of Downtown Milwaukee. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with a full bar 7 days a week. We feature a unique 50’s theme throughout the facility. We have been in business since October 1985.

We are named after our grandmother Katherine Picciurro (Miss Katie) who founded Pitch’s restaurant in 1942. We feature the same ribs and rib sandwich that has been served there for over 75 years. Pitch’s Lounge and Restaurant is located at 1801 North Humboldt Avenue Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 414-272-9313.

We feature breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with a full cocktail lounge. We have been told we have the best corned-beef hash and Italian sausage for breakfast. At lunch, our soup, daily specials, and sandwiches are very popular. At dinner, the nightly special, meatloaf, and turkey blue plate dinners are the most popular. We also have steaks, chops, and Italian specialties on the dinner menu.

Our chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry malts and shakes are homemade and the best in Milwaukee. Our bar features cocktail hour specials, an eighteen-foot table shuffleboard table with a unique 50’s theme. The bar is very popular for appetizers and cocktail parties after work.

We were visited by President Bill Clinton and then German Chancellor Helmut Kohl in May of 1996. They were here for an impromptu luncheon. This event exposed our diner to the world. We were featured by Rachel Ray of the Food Channel’s $40 Dollars a day for breakfast where she enjoyed a unique Wisconsin omelet a three-cheese omelet. On Sunday, February 17, 2008, Former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton stopped for breakfast during her presidential campaign. She had corned beef hash and hot tea. On August 19, 2008, we were the Milwaukee spot that hosted Gary Marshall, Henry Winkler, Marion Ross, Tom Bosley, Anson Williams, Donny Most, and Erin Moran. They were interviewed live in our diner by CBS anchor Debbye Turner Bell. They were in town for the dedication of the Bronze the Fonz statue in downtown Milwaukee.

On October 13, 2010, we had the pleasure to serve First Lady Michelle Obama where she had a private lunch with her cousin and his daughter.

On April 3, 2016, we were visited by Candidate Donald Trump for breakfast as he did a CNN interview.
